It was my first time to have a brunch with my co-trainee friends (the ones I met during my internship), so I was so excited about this get-together. We haven’t met for a very long time, and we decided to meet up at one of the best restaurants in Greenbelt since it will be very near to our internship training ground five years ago. Our internship before was in Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Anyway, we decided to eat at Café Mary Grace and ordered sandwiches. I ordered the Vigan Longganisa and Kesong Puti (P 240.00). The baguette bread is soft and the Vigan Longganisa is cut in small bits and has a rather smoky flavor. I wasn’t able to get much flavor out of the Kesong Puti. The Kesong Puti of Café 1771 is, by far, the best Kesong Puti I have tried. Meanwhile, Madine ordered Chicken Inasal with Tomato and Wansoy Salsa (P 230.00). According to Madz, the chicken and the salsa are both good. Danicca and Marilen ordered Grilled Vegetables on Foccacia (P 196.00). The bread sandwiches grilled zucchini, eggplant, and oyster mushrooms. It is marinated in balsamic and vinegar oil. Unlike Madine’s and my order, their sandwich seemed to be worth every penny, because it is big and looks more appetizing. Their verdict for the dish is good, too. However, the mushroom was not garnished well, because it still has large stems.

The place is surely homey and has a laid-back vibe. The decorations are the things that girls would surely love. However, according to Marilen, the powder room is cramped. Meanwhile, I first heard from my friend that the serving size is small, and she was right! The taste is just fine. It was good, though, that we did not wait for long for our sandwiches and everyone in the staff was nice to us.

Cafe Mary Grace is one of the restaurants in Greenbelt that serve delicious breakfast!
