My friends and I planned our trip to Coron last October 2018. With all the delight the Coron tourist spot had brought us, we made ourselves feel at home at Acacia Garden Inn every time we want to rest from the outdoor activities we have had.
The Rate and Reservation
My friend got the Acacia Garden Inn reservation from booking.com which includes three days two nights stay in a standard room with two single beds. We bought two vouchers for the four of us with a total of P8796 / $170 that is P2,000+ / $38 per head. Reserving at booking.com is very good for people who might change their itinerary because it allows the guest to cancel the reservation two days before the arrival. We were asked to pay our reservation on the day we will arrive in the accommodation.
Transportation and Tour
Acacia Garden Inn also arranged our transportation from the airport to the inn for P150 per head. When we arrived, there were other tourists on the van who were also dropped at their respective accommodations. With that, we were able to have a glimpse of the edifice of the accommodations of the others.
The Hotel
When we arrived, the inn made us felt we’re home. It has a mini bridge to go to the lobby area. The garden is where the al fresco dining area is situated. Hanging out there early in the morning while we were having our breakfast with the trees above us is a refreshing feeling. While at night, the bulb decorations that were hanging has a romantic and rustic vibe to it. I think the garden would have been better if there were more flowers or edible plants.
The front office agents were nice and the payments were collected. There are more seats available inside as a waiting area and as a dining table. The utensils and the brewed coffee are also in this area which is free of charge. Our room keys were given to us. Look the picture below at the right corner how big our keychain is for the room key. The front office also suggested to us leaving the room key when we were going outside to avoid losing it. This boutique hotel in Coron has 2 floors with 8 to 10 rooms per floor.
The Room
Our room is located on the second floor. The room is clean. It has a hot and cold shower, towels, and toiletries. The room has cable TVs, side tables, enough sockets, a cabinet, and the Wi-Fi works in the room. The lights used has a hotel ambiance which is okay. On the other hand, there is nothing to see looking at the window since I have said, the garden is, I believe, is still under renovation. I would love to share more photos but I lost it since I haven’t backed up my phone that has pictures of the hotel.

The Food
The food here is good! However, the quality of the food sacrifices the serving time so it is better to tell the front office the order ahead so they can prepare it on the time we have specified.
The Location
My friends and I have chosen Acacia Garden Inn mainly because it is situated near the restaurants. Thinking where to eat in Coron would be less of a problem. As mentioned in our previous post, one of the best things in traveling is the vacation food. Acacia Garden Inn is one tricycle away in the busy streets of Coron. Don’t get me wrong, though. Acacia Garden Inn is not located in a noisy place.
Recommendation
I can confidently say that even if this is not a four or five-star hotel, Acacia Garden Inn is a recommended accommodation in Coron. The staff is friendly, the food is good, the facilities are okay, and the ambiance is great.
