It doesn’t always have to be a Friday night for friends to share a good laugh. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy good times any day of the week — whether with friends or family — After All Bar & Grill is the perfect spot. This newly opened restaurant, located in SM Jazz Mall, aims to serve good food, good music, and good laughter. As the name suggests, the restaurant was inspired by the song After All.

We, bloggers, were treated to a variety of craft cocktails that made our table look vibrant and colorful. While I didn’t get to taste all of them (and never planned to — I needed to stay sober to properly judge their food, lol), I did try a few standout drinks.

After All Cocktail Drinks
I had the Calibre (₱150) — a Cuba Libre cocktail with a salted sugar rim. It was refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and tang.

Their newest cocktail, Poison Ivy, was a standout. I’m not entirely sure, but I believe it’s a vodka concoction — and it tasted perfect!

The Apple Yuki Matsuri was light yet bursting with apple flavor. Inspired by Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival, this cocktail felt crisp and refreshing.

The Cara Java Daiquiri was an interesting fusion — a coffee frappe with a subtle hint of alcohol. I’m guessing it’s the Kahlua or Bailey’s that gives it that delightful kick.

These are the drinks I did not get to taste:
-
After Sunset -
Buko Melon Freeze -
Long Island Tea
After All Food
Of course, no night out is complete without food!
The Romanian Devil Squid (₱180) was seasoned with what I can only describe as magical herbs — flavorful and absolutely delightful.

The Saikoro Steak Skewers (₱280) may look humble, but once I slid a piece of that pan-grilled wagyu beef into my mouth, I couldn’t help but say, “Wow!”

The Deep-Fried Crispy Pata (₱700) did not disappoint! The skin was crunchy, while the meat inside was flaky and tender, making it easy to slice. It reminded me of Garlic Pork Leg Espagnole from Café Adriatico.

The Tuna Salpicao (₱290) was chunky and slightly sour, yet the fresh taste of the tuna still came through beautifully.

I also loved the well-balanced flavors of the Seafood Teppanyaki (₱390). It had a hint of vinegar that added zest without overpowering the dish.

The Tiger Prawn Tempura was both juicy and crispy, served alongside vegetable fritters for added crunch.

The Waikiki Ribs (₱450) were incredibly tender and generously portioned. The ribs alone were delicious, so I found the sauce a bit unnecessary — especially since it was too salty for my taste.

There’s also something unique about their dessert — their cake is served with a Jack Daniel’s injection, allowing you to infuse the alcohol yourself. Such a fun touch!

Ambiance and Service
The overall ambiance of After All Bar & Grill is less dim than typical bars, making it a welcoming spot for all ages. The crowd was diverse — from yuppies, couples, and foreigners to even older guests — all set to enjoy a lively evening.
The bar itself makes a contemporary statement with its colorful crystal glass wall, adding to the vibrant vibe.
As for their staff — from the bartender and servers to the restaurant managers — everyone was accommodating and made us feel right at home.
Final Thoughts
I love how they focus on preserving the natural flavors of their dishes. Everything I tried was delightful, but for the Waikiki Ribs, I hope they consider making the sauce less salty.
Overall, After All Bar & Grill offers pocket-friendly prices for great food, refreshing cocktails, and a lively atmosphere — a fantastic spot for good times and great company!
