I first heard about Borro, a restaurant in Quezon City located along Scout Borromeo, from my former officemate who said that the food and ambiance were great. That’s why I decided to treat my college friends there for my birthday.
Borro Ambiance
Borro features dark wood interiors, somewhat similar to Cafe Inggo 1587 but Borro feels more spacious. They also have an al fresco dining area, but since we arrived in the afternoon, we choose to stay indoors. The restaurant had several large groups dining at the time, so the atmosphere felt lively and festive, yet still cozy enough to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Borro Food
Creamy Truffle Pasta (₱620)
The Creamy Truffle Pasta was delicious with a subtle hint of smokiness. It’s made with cream, white wine, garlic, and truffle oil. The serving was generous, so it is best shared with others.

Boneless Fried Chicken (₱630)
We ordered the Boneless Fried Chicken to balance the richness of the pasta. I thought it was expensive because it’s ₱600+ but it came with 4 large pieces of deep-fried, breaded chicken. So it was sulit. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. and the homemade gravy completed it perfectly.

Salpicao (₱450)
I love their Salpicao. It was well-seasoned, garlicky but not overpowering, and the beef was tender and premium quality. Unlike others I’ve tried that were salty or dry, this one is perfectly cooked, definitely one of my favorites.

Borro Service
We went on a weekend afternoon, a little past lunch, and we were seated right away. The service was prompt, and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
