I had been planning this for quite some time because I wanted our family’s Christmas to be different. If we weren’t in Davao or Bohol, our family would probably just stay at home for the holidays. For the recent holidays, we had a staycation at a hotel in Ortigas Center, Pasig, from December 24 to 25.

I got this deal from dealgrocer.com, which includes an overnight stay for 2 in a Deluxe room and a buffet breakfast. I bought two vouchers, so we can have two separate rooms.

When we checked in, the front office agents were friendly and processed our rooms quickly. We deposited ₱2,000 for both rooms in case we consumed any of the beverages in our room.

Their lobby, as well as their Christmas tree, has shades of violet. How ravishing!

My mom and dad’s room was on the 7th floor, whereas the room of my little cousin Bibo and I was on the 9th floor.

The pictures below were taken from our room, and I estimate that it’s a 40-square-meter room. We also have a flat-screen TV with a Sky Cable connection.

The queen-sized bed is soft, clean, and it smelled good when we went inside the room.

There’s a study table with a comfy chair, too.
There’s a vault, a cabinet, a mini refrigerator, and a percolator as well as the complimentary bottled water, coffee, and tea.

The shower room has no tub, but it’s okay as long as there’s control for cold and warm water. Shampoos, conditioners, and the towels are also included.

Exchange Regency Hotel Swimming Pool
Bibo, who was so excited to go swimming, dragged me to check out the third floor where the amenities and facilities are located. The rectangular pool was surprisingly shallow.

There are plastic beach beds sunken in the pool. How cool is that?

There are also two Jacuzzi pools beside it.

On the other side, there’s a game of indoor mini golf for the adults to keep them from getting bored while watching their children play.

Exchange Regency Mario’s Kitchen

They had fish, pork, beef, chicken, rice, eggs, salads, fruits, pancakes, cereals, coffee, tea, and chocolate drink. The food I may say is just average.

After eating, we continued to explore the hotel and found the game room, the fitness center, the function room, and the children’s game room (which was closed at that time). Be sure to wear proper workout attire when going to the fitness center.

We checked out by 11:30 AM and were completely satisfied with their accommodation.
I recommend this place for people who just want a comfortable place to stay around Ortigas. From SM Megamall, your cab fare could be around P60 only. Their regular rate for two is P3,500, which isn’t a bad deal because the facilities and amenities are of good quality. However, the restaurants are all located outside the hotel. There’s also a Family Mart on the left when you go outside. Their Wi-Fi connection in the room is very reliable, and the room was clean when we arrived. The employees are friendly, too.
