I’ve been planning this for some time to change up our Christmas traditions. Since we weren’t heading to Davao or Bohol this year, we booked two rooms for the four of us at Exchange Regency Residence Hotel, and here’s our full experience.

This 4-star hotel is designed for both short stays and longer residence-style living. The rooms are relaxed and well-equipped, but the real draw is the range of facilities available to guests:
- Dining: There’s Tully’s Coffee and Serenitea for your coffee and tea fix, while Uncle John’s serves as the on-site convenience store.
- Wellness: Stay active or unwind with access to an outdoor pool, a fully equipped gym, and a sauna.
- Convenience: Located in Pasig, it provides easy access to the business district and major shopping hubs if you’re planning to do some lifestyle content or reviews in the area.
One of the biggest advantages of staying here is the location. It’s right in Ortigas Center, so everything is accessible. SM Megamall is just a short ride away—our cab fare was around ₱80—which makes it easy if you want to shop, eat out, or just explore.
Exchange Regency Hotel Lobby
When we arrived, the first thing that caught my attention was the lobby. It wasn’t your usual red-and-gold holiday setup—instead, everything had shades of violet, including the Christmas tree. It felt unique, a little unexpected, and actually quite elegant.
Check-in was smooth and quick. The front desk staff were friendly, and within minutes we had our keys. We were asked to leave a ₱2,000 deposit for both rooms, just in case we consumed anything from the minibar.
Exchange Regency Bedroom
My parents stayed on the 7th floor, while my cousin Bibo and I were assigned a room on the 9th. Walking into the room, the first thing I noticed was how clean and fresh everything smelled—a small detail, but one that instantly sets the tone.
The room itself was spacious—around 40 square meters, by my estimate. It had everything we needed: a comfortable queen-sized bed, a flat-screen TV with cable, a study table, and even a mini refrigerator and percolator. Complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water were also provided, which is always a nice touch.
The bed was soft and inviting—exactly what you want after a long day. I also appreciated the little things: a safety vault, enough storage space, and a chair that was actually comfortable enough to sit in for a while.
The bathroom didn’t have a bathtub, but that didn’t really matter. The water temperature was easy to control, and the essentials—shampoo, conditioner, and clean towels—were all provided.
The Wi-Fi connection in the room was reliable throughout our stay, which is always a plus, especially if you’re working or uploading content.

Exchange Regency Hotel Swimming Pool
Of course, the highlight for Bibo was the pool.
Not long after settling in, he was already dragging me to the third floor to check it out. The pool was rectangular and surprisingly shallow, but what made it stand out were the sunken beach beds right in the water. It was such a fun and unusual feature.
There were also two Jacuzzi pools nearby, perfect if you just want to relax instead of swim.
On the other side, there’s a game of indoor mini golf for the adults to keep them from getting bored while watching their children play.
Exchange Regency Game Room
Right across the pool area, we found the game room. It’s not huge, but it’s enough to keep you entertained.
The Game Room is designed as a small recreational space for guests and residents. It typically includes:

Seating: A few chairs or a small lounge area for those waiting their turn.
If you’re planning to use it, you’ll need to borrow equipment from the front desk or health club counter. It’s also a good idea to go earlier in the day, especially during holidays, since the space can fill up quickly.
Verdict
By the time we checked out at around 11:30 AM the next day, we all agreed—it was a good choice.
It’s not a luxury hotel, and it doesn’t try to be. But for the price—especially with rates starting around ₱1,878—it delivers exactly what you need: clean rooms, helpful staff, decent amenities, and a very convenient location.
If you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly staycation in Ortigas, this is definitely worth considering. It’s comfortable, practical, and easy—which, sometimes, is exactly what a holiday should be.
