Last October 2018, my friends and I embarked on a memorable trip to Coron, and after an exciting day exploring its stunning tourist spots, we always found comfort and relaxation at Acacia Garden Inn — our home away from home.

The Rate and Reservation

My friend booked our stay at Acacia Garden Inn via Booking.com, which included a 3-day, 2-night stay in a standard room with two single beds. We purchased two vouchers for the four of us, totaling ₱8,796 (approximately $170) — about ₱2,000+ / $38 per head.

What’s great about Booking.com is its flexible cancellation policy, which allows guests to cancel their reservation up to two days before arrival — perfect for those with changing itineraries. Payment was collected when we checked in, which made the booking process hassle-free.

Transportation and Tour

Acacia Garden Inn arranged our airport transfer for ₱150 per head. The van ride included other tourists who were dropped off at their respective accommodations, giving us a glimpse of other nearby lodgings.

The Hotel

Upon arrival, the inn immediately made us feel at home. A mini bridge led us to the lobby area, adding a quaint touch to the experience.

The garden is where the al fresco dining area is situated. Enjoying breakfast there with the trees above us was incredibly refreshing. At night, the hanging bulbs created a romantic and rustic vibe. While charming, I feel the garden could be improved with more flowers or perhaps edible plants to enhance its natural beauty.

The front office staff were accommodating, and they promptly processed our payment. They also suggested we leave our room key at the reception when heading out to avoid losing it — a thoughtful reminder considering the keychain was noticeably large.

Hotel in Coron with a rustic vibe

The inn has two floors with about 8 to 10 rooms per floor, giving it a cozy, boutique hotel vibe.

The Room

Our room was on the second floor, and I appreciated how clean and well-maintained it was. The room was equipped with:
✅ Hot and cold shower
✅ Towels and toiletries
✅ Cable TV
✅ Side tables
✅ Sufficient power outlets
✅ A cabinet for storage
✅ Wi-Fi that worked well in the room

The lighting created a warm hotel ambiance, which added to the comfort. However, the view from the window wasn’t impressive since the garden appeared to be under renovation.

Unfortunately, I lost most of my photos of the room since I hadn’t backed up my phone — but you can visit their website for more reliable images and detailed room rates. Their site is simple and easy to navigate.

The Food

The food at Acacia Garden Inn was delicious, but be prepared for a bit of a wait. Since the meals are freshly prepared, I recommend pre-ordering your food at the front desk to have it served at your preferred time.

The Location

One of the reasons we chose Acacia Garden Inn was its convenient location near several restaurants. Deciding where to eat in Coron was never a hassle.

While the inn is close to Coron’s busy streets, it’s tucked away in a quiet area, so you can still enjoy a peaceful stay.

Recommendation

Although it’s not a four- or five-star hotel, I confidently recommend Acacia Garden Inn for those visiting Coron. The staff are friendly, the food is great, the facilities are comfortable, and the overall ambiance is warm and inviting.

If you’re looking for an affordable yet cozy place to stay in Coron, Acacia Garden Inn is a fantastic choice! 😊
