Chateau Royale is a spa and resort in Batangas that is more or less 13 km away to Tagaytay. Its accessibility to Tagaytay is one of the advantages of choosing this accommodation. As Tagaytay is known for its cool weather because of its high altitude, tourists and even locals frequent here to relax and to enjoy the scenic view of the smallest volcano in the world, the Taal Lake. So if the best hotels in Tagaytay are fully booked, resorting to Chateau Royale Hotel Resort and Spa is a nice place to go.
Chateau Royale Rooms
Chateau Royale has a lot of accommodations around since the resort is 100 hectares. From cabins, townhouses to hotels, Chateau Royale has it. My friends and I stayed in the Skylight Tower. The facade of the building is a glass that makes to look like a university from the outside. By closely looking at it, the glass looks like it was just added to the structure; I guess they have done this to keep the guests away from the rain. Nevertheless, it’s nice that we can already see the view outside even if we’re on the third floor.
Our room is large and we were actually 5. The room has a living room with TV, a kitchen bar, ref, a cabinet, and 1 single bed and 1 twin size. We added 3 extra beds. Towels, linens, are clean but the blanket is not a comforter. There are also shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste, and tissue.
Meanwhile, here are the other rooms we saw while strolling around. The log cabin looks pretty cool and the townhouses look like we’re somewhere in the US.
The Swimming Pool
The swimming pool of Chateau Royale is a thing that they can be proud of. The pool is huge and it also has waves but only works on a specific schedule. If I remember it right, the schedule in the morning is from 9 to 9:30 and 11 to 11:30, I guess.
There’s also a pool bar where the entire pool can be seen and to where the picture above is taken.
Also, there are life-size floaters to play around. Look how fun this is! Even the setting of the pool area looks like a beach.
Other than the wave pool, there is a clubhouse pool near the reception area of the resort that is also big.
The Restaurants
One Fishing Place
We arrived around 12 noon so we have decided to eat at One Fishing Place. It’s a Filipino theme floating restaurant where there are coys swimming freely underneath our nipa huts. The food served to us tasted great. I just noticed though that they like thick sauce so much.
Asian Grill
The next morning, we ate at the Asian Grill. It’s a buffet type serving Asian cuisine. However, don’t expect much for the food. The exterior of the place looks posh, though.
The Spa
The Spa has a promising ambiance that totally made us feel relaxed. Aside from body massage, their spa has a gym, a sauna, and an indoor pool. We totally love the pool since it feels so private and luxurious. For promos, here are the Chateau Royale rates.

The Service
Since Chateau Royal Resort and Spa is a huge resort, the from and to would take a lot of time for the guests so they have provided shuttle service for the convenience of everybody. The staff are all accommodating and friendly.
The Amenities
Chateau Royale Resort and Spa is very suitable as a company outing venue since the place is very spacious. There’s Forest Sports Bar, Tent Pavillion good for private functions. They have halls for conferences or functions and they also have the facility for team-building like the obstacle course as seen on the picture below.
Activities
Some of the outdoor activities that can be done here are rock climbing, zipline, playground, basketball, badminton, orchidarium, badminton court, swan lake, archery, and aviary.
Zoo
Overall
Chateau Royale has a lot to offer to the guests. While I was there, I can say that there are a lot of foreigners who chose to stay here. From the statues displayed to every part of the resort, I can guarantee that the owner is a Chinese. On the other hand, I hope they will continue to have a facility upgrade to have more recommendations from the guests. It was an awesome experience to stay in a large resort but the downside of a property this big is the difficulty of its maintenance. Overall, I can see the success of the business of Chateau Royale in the future especially that the people are looking for are mostly there. I hope that they will not only give what the guest needs but also what the guest wants and that is to feel like a royal!
