Top Attractions at Santi’s Farmhouse

Stepping onto the ridge at 2:30 PM brings plenty of sunshine, but the cool Amihan breeze instantly cuts through the afternoon heat.

Elevated Viewing Deck

The farm’s main highlight is its elevated wooden platform. It gives you a clean 180-degree view without power lines or crowd heads ruining your shots. My niece absolutely loved playing tour guide here, eagerly leading the way to the top deck!

Giant Wind Turbines

Alternergy launched these turbines in 2016, marking the first major wind farm in Luzon built outside the Ilocos region. Standing 125 meters tall (about as high as a 33-story building), each tower catches relentless ridge winds. Together, the 27 turbines generate 54 Megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy—powering over 60,000 households across Luzon while sparking eco-tourism in Rizal.

Sierra Madre Mountains

Known as the “Backbone of Luzon,” the Sierra Madre stretches 540 kilometers across 10 provinces. Standing at the farmhouse, you gaze directly at its southern green ridges. This natural mountain range acts like a giant wind funnel, driving strong breezes straight into the turbine blades

Laguna de Bay

The vast, shimmering lake spreading out beneath the ridge is the largest lake in the Philippines and the third-largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia

Aesthetic Photo Spots

Every corner offers a great photo opportunity, from rustic wooden benches to open-air platforms custom-built for golden-hour shots. Take a stroll through the small garden, too—we spotted mini pineapples growing there, and they tasted surprisingly sweet!

Relaxed Countryside Atmosphere

Forget the noisy, congested public parking strip down the road. Santi’s Farmhouse gives you a peaceful space where you can kick back, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the open landscape.

Souvenir Shop

Before you leave, check out the on-site souvenir shop. They sell adorable mini wind turbine toys that my niece couldn’t stop playing with.

Restaurant: Café Grey

If you arrive in the afternoon after touring spots like Hinulugang Taktak and the Angono Petroglyphs, Café Grey provides a welcome break to recharge.

This on-site coffee shop serves cold brews, hot coffee, and quick snacks that you can enjoy at al fresco tables facing the mountain ridge. If you need a full meal, they serve budget-friendly silog dishes (ranging from ₱100 to ₱140), including:

  • Tapsilog
  • Tocilog
  • Longsilog
  • Daingsilog
  • Siomaisilog
  • Hotsilog

Verdict

If you want stunning photos and a peaceful place to enjoy the Pililla Windmills without fighting through crowds, Santi’s Farmhouse is well worth every peso. The flat vehicle entry fee makes it budget-friendly for groups, providing a comfortable space to sip coffee, relax, and take in one of the finest views in Rizal.
