The Philippines takes pride in Bohol as one of its top tourist destinations. With pristine beaches, the iconic Chocolate Hills, and vibrant coral reefs, visitors can also explore a thriving farm—South Farm, which shares the same owner as South Palms Resort, both located in Panglao, Bohol.
Our trip to Bohol was quite unplanned, as we initially went there for business. Traveling with my mom, we stayed at Marieli Suites for a few days. When we finally had some free time, I checked Google Maps and saw that South Farm Panglao-Bohol was just a few minutes’ drive from our accommodation.
South Farm Panglao Bohol Rate
The entrance fee is only P198, with P100 consumable at Uma Restaurant, which is also located within the area.
South Farm Panglao-Bohol Map
Here’s a map to help you navigate this 9-hectare farm. You are free to explore the place at your own pace, and there are signs to guide you along the way. I would say it took us 1-1.5 hours to roam around.
Apart from animals, there are other few stuff you can check such as:
- Clay pottery
- Vinegar store
- Herbs and other plants
How to Get There
Since my mother and I were staying in Panglao, we only took a tricyle that costs around P150 for the 2 of us.
Now if you are coming from Alona Beach, the tricycles have terminal there. Tricycle is the most common and convenient method. The journey typically takes about 10-15 minutes and costs approximately PHP 200-300, depending on negotiations with the driver and current rates. Simply inform the driver that you’re heading to South Farm Panglao.
South Farm Animals
Here’s a list of animals I saw at the farm:
- Geese
- Duck
- Egret
- Tortoise
- Guinea Pig
- Rabbit
- Lovebirds
- Koi
- Carabao
What I Love
What made my visit truly unforgettable was the interaction with the animals. Whenever I visit a farm, I don’t usually get the chance to feed or even touch them. That’s why I kept asking the employees if I could, and to my delight, they allowed visitors to do so! Check out the video below for a glimpse of me feeding the animals—even the birds landed on my hands!

South Farm Uma Restaurant
Since we were hungry and thirsty from the scorching heat, we decided to try their food. There weren’t many customers, maybe because we visited on a weekday, but it still took a while for our food to be served—maybe because the ingredients were freshly picked from the farm, lol. Anyway, the food was undeniably delicious, with generous servings! We even had to ask for some of our leftovers to be packed for takeout.
