A big change happened in my life, and this is the reason why this blog hasn’t been updated for a month (I’m still adjusting). God, I really miss wandering, waking up late, and owning my time; I’ve been doing that for one year and seven months. However, there was a part of me that longed to embrace changes and accept one opportunity that was presented to me.
It has been ages since I last felt the exhaustion of being an employee. Now that I’m currently employed, the energy-zapping feeling came back. It was a good thing that one my friends during my teenage years invited me on a road trip to Tagaytay!

After going to the Sky Ranch, we decided to fill up our tummy at restaurant in sky ranch Tagaytay in Downtown Pizza & Pasta. If you take the name literally, you’d notice that it’s quite ironic to be dining on a restaurant called Downtown when you’re in an elevated place. Okay, I hope you get my unwitty joke. Lol.
We were originally planning to eat bulalo at that time, but since my friend loves pesto, we tried out Downtown Pizza & Pasta. We ordered Pasta Pesto (P 305), a very simple dish, but the way it was created was perfect for us. It was neither dry nor salty, and the pasta was served al dente.
A restaurant near Maginhawa Street offers delicious pesto!
Meanwhile the 12-inch Bacon Mushroom Melt (P 435) pizza that we ordered was made using pomodoro sauce topped with onions, beef, sinful melted cheese, and (our favorite) bacon. The pizza was bursting with flavors!
Just in case you might wonder, Downtown and Red Engine share the same space, so upon sitting, the attentive wait staff would give you one menu for Downtown and one menu for Red Engine. The place is spacious and wisely makes use of the fresh cool air that Tagaytay is known for. The price we paid matched the quality of the dishes we ordered. If only this place is very near to me, I would surely keep coming back for their pizza and pasta!
