Nowadays, people want everything in a snap because a lot of things are needed to keep up. Imagine you’re working around Taguig – while you find that your weekdays are loaded with many things to do or you just want to have a quick snack to munch before attending your responsibilities, there are different restaurants in Taguig or kiosks like shawarma in Market! Market! that can answer your hungriness.
My former workmate, Vanessa, and I ordered moutabal (P49) for the appetizer. Moutabal is an eggplant dip that is mixed with lemon juice, sesame paste, and garlic drizzled with olive oil. It is served with a pita bread that is soft and warm.
Instead of ordering shawarma, we ordered rice meal. I got shawarma beef rice (P109) and Vanessa ordered the shawarma chicken rice. To my surprise, I find that the chicken tastes better than the beef for the rice meal.
I met the manager and the owner of Beiruti and they let us have a take out of the Beiruti Sandwich that is shawarma beef. I did not get to take a photo because the presentation did not look good anymore because of transporting from Taguig to QC, haha. Luckily, I was able to take a photo of the menu. They got a regular size and a titan size. We only got the regular size coz I tell you that the titan size is really huge. It’s larger than the size of a man’s face. Really, I’m not exaggerating here. I’d prefer to choose beef meat for the sandwich.
Their shawarma sandwich smells nice. It’s not the shawarma we usually have here that has a pungent smell of the meat. No wonder that there are many people who would stop by at this kiosk in my observation while we were eating.
Lastly, they also gave us a minted lemonade shake for only P50! The glass is also huge and I like that this one cleanses your palate after eating shawarma. If you like herbal taste and to freshen up, I would recommend this.
I would like to thank Ms. May of What To Eat Ph for letting us try Beiruti Bite Express.
The place is just normal but they have a seat where you can eat your food but the price is pocket-friendly and the serving is really good to fill you up. There is just a thing to improve with regards to service. It would take a while to have your food because there’s only two of them who prepares it. The taste met my preference because it does not smell nor taste too strong plus their meat is really good.
