The Singapore Zoo is one of the world’s best rainforest zoos, offering a unique open-concept experience where animals roam in habitats designed to mimic their natural environments. Established in 1973, the zoo covers an area of about 28 hectares (69 acres) and is home to over 2,800 animals from more than 300 species of mammals, birds, and reptiles.
I love how open the animals’ habitats are. It’s not a typical setup where animals are caged. I’m amazed at how the Singapore Zoo manages this, and after doing some research, I found out it’s a strategy they call creating a moat.
Singapore Zoo Entrance Fee
I bought the ticket from Klook for PHP 2,210/ USD 38.46 / SGD 51.79. You can also buy Singapore Zoo tickets at the gate upon arrival. The ticketing counters are typically efficient, and many visitors have reported minimal wait times.
Purchasing tickets online in advance comes with advantages, such as potential discounts and the convenience of bypassing ticket lines. Online tickets are often cheaper than gate prices, and you can easily display them on your smartphone upon entry.
Additionally, Singapore Zoo offers a WildPass membership for local residents, which provides discounts and other exclusive perks, allowing you to save on admission and enjoy additional benefits.
