I’m pretty sure all of you have dined with your friends (both girls and boys). I’m also quite sure you’ve seen the difference in how girls and boys end a hearty meal. Most girls would crave for desserts while boys would prefer munching on chips.

Based on my research, we girls love desserts because we are more emotional than guys. This means our body needs Serotonin—a neurotransmitter that regulates sleep and mood. Our serotonin levels can increase by eating carbohydrates in the form of sugar. Girls have lower levels of serotonin in the brain than boys which explain why girls tend to pine for more carbs or sweets.

My college girlfriends love to hop into a different restaurant to eat desserts after a meal—ice cream, yogurt, frappe, and cakes are just some of the common choices we have in mind. This time, a humble place with gorgeous cakes on display has captured our eyes. We had our dessert in MOA. We queued and decided to order different cakes, so we could try many selections.

Death by Tablea P88.00

We tasted almost all their chocolate cakes except their Classic and Chocolate Caramel variants. The cakes taste more or less the same. The most apparent differences among them are the toppings and moistness of each cake. We like how the cakes are flavored well—they’re neither too sweet nor too bland. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of chocolate cakes, though. They also offer Banana Walnut Cake, Chocolate Carrot Cake, Tiramisu, Sugar-Free Chocolate Mousse, and cheesecakes.

Chocolat, pronounced as shoh-coh-LAH, was found last 2006 with their main branch located in Antipolo. Right now, they have a total of six branches. They also offer made-to-order desserts and cupcakes. Kindly look at the picture above for more info. Bisou Bisou!
