The beginning of the year 2015, for me, is truly dragging—work, money, and my parent’s health issues have instantly drained my energy. One day, my friends Jeck and Derek insisted on visiting my father at the hospital. However, I told them that since it was really me whom they are going to visit, I suggested that we meet in a Japanese restaurant in Quezon City for a quick dinner after work before I take my shift in the hospital to look after my father instead.

In Trinoma, we saw Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. It was just perfect, because the weather was kinda cool that time. We were well-entertained by the receptionists and were escorted to our table.

Derek ordered the Small Ramen (Shio) and Fried Chicken and Small Rice Bowl Set priced at P510. Of course, I had to try his food! I’d say that the chicken is crisp and well-seasoned. This set was such a binge, because you have noodles and rice in one meal.

In Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, you will not just enjoy ramen but other Japanese food as well.

Jeck ordered Shoyu Ramen (Soy Sauce flavor) priced at P345, which is a tonkatsu-base broth. Expect it to be sweet and salty. Jeck’s soup is less dense because it’s ramen. Heck! haha.

Meanwhile, I ordered Shin Aji Ramen Tsukemen (P360). It is a cold noodle with hot dipping sauce in Shoyu flavor (P360). I’ve heard about this dish before when I went to Mitsuyado Sei-Men. Derek saw me dipping the noodles in the sauce. He suggested that I put the sauce in the noodles instead to make my life easier. Lol! He had a point, but I think we really should follow the Japanese way of eating it. After all, there’s probably a good reason why it’s eaten the way it is.

I forgot how the taste of our food differed from one another because it happened a month ago. I could only provide you a photo of it, so please bear with me.

Want to have your ramen with cheese? Why don’t you try Mitsuyado Sei-Men.

Anyway, their serving makes up for their pricing since the amount of food is rather heavy. The ambiance of the resto is like the Japanese restaurants you would see in movies (If you’re watching Japanese films, then you’ll know). The waiter who attended to us was quite absent-minded, though. This is quite puzzling since it wasn’t really a full house when we dined.
