Bohol Bee Farm

Back in 2008, my college friends and I chose Bohol Bee Farm Resort as our accommodation during our trip to Bohol. One of the perks of staying at this resort for four days was indulging in the organic food they served.

Bohol Bee Farm doesn’t just offer bee products like honey — they have an actual farm inside the resort, ensuring that guests are treated to fresh and healthy dishes. While all the food we tried was delicious, a couple of items stood out in my memory: their pesto spread, which we all loved, and their unique flower salad, freshly picked from their garden.

Buzz Cafe Ambiance

Fast forward to today, Bohol Bee Farm has expanded under the name Buzz Café, with several branches across Bohol. One conveniently located branch is at Island City Mall. I appreciated how Buzz Café has maintained its nature-inspired ambiance, which stays true to its roots.

Food

My quest to enjoy their flower salad again began when I spotted it on their menu. I ordered spareribs that came with a flower salad on the side for ₱240 / $5. My cousin also ordered spareribs but chose cassava fresh lumpia as her side.

The spareribs were tender and fall-off-the-bone, while the flower salad — made with delicate petals instead of thick cabbages — brought back fond memories of my first visit. The serving size was generous, making the meal even more satisfying.

Meanwhile, my other cousin ordered honey-glazed chicken, which was served with organic brown rice and cassava fresh lumpia on the side. According to her, the chicken was a bit challenging to eat, but overall, the meal was enjoyable.

Buzz Café certainly didn’t disappoint in satisfying my cravings for an organic meal. It’s definitely one of my recommended restaurants when visiting Bohol.
