Every time our high school friends go back to the Philippines for a vacation, our circle makes sure that we always go somewhere because they only visit the Philippines every two years. So, after our endless group chats, we have decided to go and see Moalboal, Cebu’s tourist spots.

We availed of a tour package from NevMark Travel & Tour for P35k for a group of 10, so that is basically P3,500 per person that includes the following itinerary:

This post will be all about our second day in Moalboal, Cebu. Let’s get this started!

Sardines Run

It is called a Sardines Run because a group of fish, 1 million or maybe more, can be seen swimming together to protect themselves from encountering a larger prey. It is nice to see their twirling motion coming in different forms. Our tour guide did not fail to capture this mesmerizing natural occurrence.

Turtle Watching

Our tour guide already warned us the possible absence of the turtles because it was low tide and he was right. Turtle watching can be done in Panagsama Beach or Talisay Point.

Pescador Island

Pescador Island is not difficult to locate since it is isolated from other islands. From the Spanish word, fisherman, this is where the fishermen used to go fishing before because of its rich resources. There are coral reefs and plenty of aquatic fauna that can be found here. I suggest you to wear leggings instead of shorts here since my friend got a jellyfish sting. We were already enjoying the colorful view of the underwater world when I saw a seasnake in black and white stripes gliding beautifully in coral reefs that caused us to panic, lol. Our tour guide said that it was a deadly snake so our decision to leave was the best thing we did. We ended up moving forward to our next tour destination.

Canyoneering Adventure

Badian Canyoneering Adventure is best to explore for 4 to 5 hours especially for the photo purposes. We are a group of 7 and 2  tour guides. The Lucero Travel and Tours accompanied us in this heart-thumping adventure. Badian Canyoneering Adventure can be availed for P1,500/each. Since our tour comes in package, we did not pay anymore. For more details and actual videos of the challenging jumps, you may check my Badian Canyoneering Adventure post.

Kawasan Falls

Our tour guide explained that they made our tour in reverse so what will stand as our trophy after the sweating and chilling adventure we had in canyoneering is the magnificent Kawasan Falls. This falls used to allow people to jump not until an accident and a life was spared. Kawasan Falls is 40 meters (130 feet) high. There are available food at this area and it is where the tourists mostly stay since it has pavilion available for everybody.

The whole day adventure took us 10 hours to complete from its pick-up to drop-off time. We totally enjoyed this Moalboal tour. Our body might experienced muscle pain and bruises that surely took only weeks to disappear but the fun and experience we had is a memory of happiness and satisfaction to hold forever. Cebu Moalboal na This!
