Team Aldous celebrated its 4th anniversary at Wingman Collective on October 7, 2017. Aldous Calubad, the man behind this group, has always been passionate about trying different restaurants around the metro. Eventually, he realized that exploring restaurants would be more enjoyable with people who share the same interest.
Thanks to the power of the internet in this generation, everything became easier. He successfully gathered bloggers who, although initially strangers to one another, became friends over the years. Some people came, and some people went — something I’m quite guilty about since I’ve been MIA for some time. However, fast forward to today, Team Aldous has reached its 4th year, and we are celebrating it at this bar and restaurant in Makati.
Onion Rings and Fries
While we were waiting for the others to arrive, the waitstaff started serving us onion rings (P150) and garlic parmesan curly twist fries (P175). I’m sure the garlic parmesan curly twist fries were the most in-demand item at that time because of their binge-worthy flavor. A must-try!

Wingman Quiz Night
Erik Waldie, the owner, along with the marketing manager, Benj, welcomed us with the aim of showcasing the food they offer, plus a quiz night to test our memory.

Erik hosted the quiz night perfectly mind-boggling but thanks to my teammates’ Joy and Tin for being so well-informed with the past and current events that we made to be in the second to the highest score!

Quiz night is FREE! It takes place at Acacia Estates, Taguig every Thursday, but for this branch, The Collective, the schedule is still under discussion. Meanwhile, we were munching on these wings while answering the quiz.

Chicken Wings
The Classic Buffalo Wings (6 pcs for P235) met my expectations with their sweet and tangy flavor.
HEADS UP! Every order comes with carrot sticks and ranch dip. Plus, a dozen wings can be split into two flavors.

The Prairie Fire (P235) is also flavored like the buffalo wings but this time, the ranch dip is poured at the top and the spiciness can come from mild to extreme!

The Moroccan Chermoula (P235) is an exotic spice blend of North African spices. It’s unique, I would say.

This one is called Hell Fire (P235) and yes, it was flaming when served to us. I love spicy food, to be honest, however I cannot stand the hot sensation in my mouth. Man, the spiciness of this one lasts long.

Dessert
Here are their desserts, but I wasn’t able to try them because I was called to play beer pong. Anyway, here’s a picture of their dessert that’s absolutely worth drooling over.
Wingman Beerpong
The final part was capped by playing beer pong. You can play beer pong for FREE! Yes, they just want people to have a good time.

I didn’t contribute much to the score because I had a hard time shooting the ball (as you can obviously see in the photo), but Tin, my teammate, was pretty good at it. We were able to make it to the finals.
